New Point of Presence continues IT services provider's strategic network expansion
Claranet, the experts that develop, support and manage communication and information technology for business has launched a new Point of Presence (PoP) in New York City.
After extensive network testing, Claranet's New York PoP is now live and accepting business traffic. The new PoP brings the majority of Claranet's connectivity product portfolio to New York's buzzing business community, including IP transit services and VPN:ng - Claranet's next generation Virtual Private Network product.
The move also establishes datacentre space in New York City's metro area.
Claranet's latest step in expanding its footprint
The New York PoP is the latest move in the strategic expansion of Claranet's network footprint. It follows the addition of a high performance, secure and dependable trans-Atlantic link from New York City to London in November 2006, and complements developments in Europe where Belgian locations have recently been added to the Claranet footprint following a new interconnection agreement with Versatel Belgium.
