Setting Up Microsoft Outlook

1) Launch Microsoft Outlook, select Tools and then E-mail Accounts.

2) On the E-mail Accounts window, select Add a new e-mail accountand click Next.

3) For your server type, select POP3 and click Next.

4) On the Internet Email Settings (POP3) window, enter the following:

Your Name - Your name as you would like it to appear to recipients.

Email Address - Enter your email address (in lower case).

User Name - If your email address is "yourusername@clara.co.uk", the username you enter would be "yourusername". If you have a Claranet email account that is provided as part of a Clarahost package, then the username should be the full email address.

Password - The password for the specified email address.

Please DO NOT select 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication'.

Incoming mail server (POP3) - pop.clara.net.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - relay.clara.net.

Please Note: You can only use the Claranet SMTP server to send mail if you are connected using Claranet. If you use an alternative internet provider, please contact them for the address of their outgoing mail server.

Click Next.

5) You have successfully created your account, now click on Finish.
