FTP Using Cute FTP

The following is a guide into uploading to your Claranet webspace using Cute FTP.

1) Open CuteFTP. In the main window please click on the Site Manager icon.

2) Click on New and select "New FTP Site". Now please enter the following:

Label: The name you wish to use to identify the connection with e.g. Clara Site.

Host address : The domain name including the www e.g. www.testdomain.com if you have a Clarahost domain, or home.clara.net if you have a standard Claranet account.

Login Method: Leave it as the default option which is Normal

User: Please enter your domain name excluding the www e.g. testdomain.com if you have a Clarahost domain. If you have a standard Claranet account (e.g. ADSL) then enter your Claranet username.

Password: Enter the FTP password for your domain or your Claranet password if you have a Claranet Internet account (non hosting).

Once the details are entered, click on Connect to connect automatically.

You can now drag and drop files to and from your webspace. Please note that when uploading to ClaraHost webspace, upload to the www folder which is contained within the Public folder.
