FTP Using Fetch

Fetch is an FTP client used on Mac OS X. The following is a guide to connecting to your Claranet webspace using Fetch.

If you are running fetch for the first time, the "New Connection" window box is presented to you. If you are not running Fetch for the first time, you can choose "New Connection" from the File menu to display the new connection window.

In the "New Connection" window, please enter in the following information:

Hostname: The domain name including the www e.g. www.yourdomain.com if you have a ClaraHost domain, or home.clara.net if you have a Claranet Internet account (non hosting).

Connect using: Leave it as the default option which is FTP

User name: Enter your domain name excluding the www e.g. yourdomain.com if you have a Clarahost domain. If you have a Claranet Internet account (e.g. ADSL), then enter your username.

Password: Enter the FTP password for your domain or your account password if you have a Claranet Internet account (non hosting).

Once the details are entered click on Connect to connect to the webspace.

You can now drag and drop files to and from your webspace. Please note that when uploading to ClaraHost webspace, upload to the www folder which is contained within the Public folder.
