FTP Using WSFTP

The following is a guide into uploading to your Clara webspace using WSFTP.

1) Open WSFTP, click on the arrow next to the Connection icon on the toolbar and then click on "Connection Wizard" or click on the connection icon to bring up the site manager and click on "New Site".

2) You will be presented with a welcome screen. Click on Next to proceed.

3) Please enter the name for your FTP site; e.g. Clara site and click on Next.

4) Select the connection type as FTP and then click on Next.

5) Please enter the server address for your webspace which normally is the domain name including the www e.g. www.yourdomain.com if you have a Clarahost domain, or home.clara.net if you have a Claranet Internet account.

Click on Next to proceed.

6) Please enter the following:

User name: Enter your domain name excluding the www e.g. yourdomain.com if you have a ClaraHost domain, if you have a Claranet Internet account (e.g. ADSL), then enter your username.

Password: Enter the FTP password for your domain or your account password if you have a Claranet Internet account (non hosting).

Click on Next to proceed.

7) Click on Finish to complete the setup and connect to your webspace.

You can now drag and drop files to and from your webspace. Please note that when uploading to Clarahost webspace, you need to upload to the www folder which is contained within the Public folder.
