Claranet are responsible for making all DNS changes that you require. This procedure is in place to ensure that maximum security is maintained when making alterations to your domain.

We will need to take security information from you, and the specific information we require depends on what domain you have with us. Please e-mail us at bsupport@clara.net, and we will be happy to tell you what information we require from you.

If you currently own a domain that is hosted with another company and you wish to move to Claranet, you will need to transfer your domain to us.

Transferring a .uk domain to Claranet

All .uk domains are managed using a tagging system. Each ISP is allocated a unique 'tag' by Nominet UK, the governing body that controls all such domains. Control of a domain can be given to another internet provider simply by changing the tag attached to the domain. Our tag is CLARANET (please note the capital letters).

To create this page, I am using 'Allaire Homesite 4.0', there are literally hundreds of editiors currently on the market for both Mac and PC. If you don't have an editor don't worry because you can use 'Notepad for PC' or 'Simple Text for Mac' to create your documents.
