Claranet acquires ADTsys, continuing its consolidation plan in the Brazilian market

Managed technology services provider, Claranet, has announced its acquisition of Brazilian cloud computing and data services company, ADTsys. Claranet’s objective is to expand its portfolio in these capabilities, with smart use of cloud orchestration technologies and tools leading to greater efficiencies for its customers.

Claranet Technology, part of Claranet Group, announced its partnership with ADTsys in April this year. Now it can formalise the acquisition and continue its growth plans in Brazil, adding to its strong global practice across cloud, cybersecurity, data, applications, and workplace productivity solutions.

Public cloud revenue in Brazil stood at US$ 2.6 billion in 2021 and could reach US$ 6.1 billion by 2024. Claranet Technology CEO, Edivaldo Rocha, comments:

We are working hard to expand our existing portfolio of solutions, services, and products. Our goal is to consolidate the Brazilian market and become the top company and employer brand in Brazil in cybersecurity, private cloud, public cloud, data, and DevOps. In recent years we have made four acquisitions in Brazil and we plan to continue our organic and acquisition-based growth path."

ADTsys has a 12 year legacy in the Brazilian market and more than 100 customers in its portfolio. Pascoal Baldasso, ADTsys’ founder and CEO, says more about the company:

Our products and services have been transforming companies over time with a cloud- and data-driven model, thereby ensuring digital transformation and growth of our customers’ organisations."

Edivaldo Rocha continues,

This acquisition will enable us to increase the value we deliver to our customers, combining the skills of our technical teams and the complementarity of our portfolio."
