Acquisition reinforces Claranet's position as the largest IT supplier in Portugal and opens the door to new business areas and international markets.
Claranet Portugal, the largest information technology provider in Portugal and a specialist in Cloud, Security, and Workplace solutions, has just completed the acquisition of IT consultancy and service provider OutScope Solutions.
The move strengthens Claranet’s market leading position in the IT market in Portugal, expanding its portfolio of solutions in the domestic market and increasing its exposure to international markets.
The transaction includes the 100% acquisition of OutScope Solutions and its subsidiaries - OutScope Madeira and Hashtag People. The company will continue to operate as OutScope – a specialist in solutions and services focused on the Telecommunications sector – for the foreseeable future.
This sector currently represents about 50% of OutScope's business, offering a portfolio of specialised services in Telco Cloud, Automation, Networking, IoT, and 5G.
OutScope's main executives and shareholders - Nuno Almeida e Silva, CEO and Célio Rijo, CCO - will join the Claranet group in Portugal. OutScope's approximately 140 employees will also be fully integrated into Claranet, giving them room to grow their careers in the larger company.
