Kubernetes and Claranet

Automate, deploy, scale and manage containerised applications

We understand the pressure to do more and faster is intense. You need to be putting new features in the hands of your customers earlier, learning and continually improving the customer experience. The new generation of data-intensive dynamic applications and services require finely-tuned infrastructure.

Why Kubernetes?

  • Deploy your applications quickly
  • Scale your applications on the fly
  • Roll out new features seamlessly
  • Limit hardware usage to required resources only.

What is Kubernetes?

Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications so that new ideas can quickly get developed, packaged, and shipped. It groups containers that make up an application into logical units for easy management. In other words, you can cluster together groups of hosts running Linux containers, and Kubernetes helps you easily and efficiently manage those clusters. These clusters can span hosts across public, private, or hybrid clouds.

What are Containers?

Containers are lightweight, portable, virtualised software defined environment. Containers wrap everything in a file system that contains everything needed to run: code, runtime, system tools, system library – anything that can be installed on a server.

  • Automated bin packing
  • Self-healing
  • Horizontal scaling
  • Automate rollout and rollbacks
  • Service discovery & load balancing
  • Secret & configuration management
  • Storage orchestration
  • Batch execution

The KCSP Partner Programme

Claranet are founding members of the KCSP programme. The KCSP programme provides a vetted tier of service providers who have deep experience helping enterprises successfully adopt Kubernetes to roll out applications more quickly. As a KCSP partner, Claranet are well positioned to offer Kubernetes support, consulting, professional services and training for organisations embarking on their Kubernetes journey.

We host regular, hands-on workshops showing you how to run Kubernetes. Places are limited, so please register your interest if you’d like to be the first to know when we announce the next date.
